Qualcomm's New Beast, the Snapdragon 845

We haven't stopped praising the brilliance of Snapdragon 835 and Qualcomm has already come up with its new chipset , the Snapdragon 845.
What's new in this upcoming beast?
We'll brief you up on what Qualcomm has listed down on some of advancements they've made into this.

Performance: The Snapdragon 845 has a new Kryo 385 CPU architecture and an upgraded Adreno 630 GPU. Among the 8 cores, the 4 performance cores Cortex A75 clock upto 2.8 GHz and are paired with 4 energy efficient Cortex A55 cores that clock upto 1.7 GHz. Qualcomm claims 10% rise in the performance or 15% drop in power consumption.

Graphics:  Qualcomm has also promised a 30% improvement in graphics and video rendering. The 845 also supports multi-frame capture which is going to be used to create cinemagraphs. For example, you may have experienced the live photographs taken from Pixel 2 or iPhone 7 etc., but this time when you take a live photo, you can actually pick the part of the photo which you would like to see moving.

Artificial Intelligence: Qualcomm is doubling down on its heavily integrated approach to power intelligent machine learning applications. In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 845 boasts a 3x gain in AI tasks over the 835. The Snapdragon 845 is also even more accessible for developers eager to get their machine learning applications up and running on the platform.

Connectivity: Since most of the Telecom companies are trying to get 5G connectivity in the market very soon, Qualcomm is focussing to make the upcoming phones compatible and get a better 5G experience with it's new chipset.

I think Qualcomm has definitely shifted it's gears and doing a great job with advancements in the above fields. Let us see what this thing can do when during it's experience.

HP to Bring 3D Printing Technology in Q1 of 2018

Tech Giant Hewlett-Packard has finally decided on launching 3D printing technology in India, two years after it was launched globally. Reports suggest HP will be bringing the technology somewhere after March next year.

So what is 3D Printing and why should we be excited about it?
3D Printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing, is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file in which material is joined or solidified under computer control to create an object, with material being added together. So, we are actually “printing” desired objects. Hence, we can use this technology to print plastic parts — body implants, car panels, and manufacturing prototypes with almost 100% precision!

The Managing Director of HP, Inc. India, Sumeer Chandra told ET, the Economic Times, that they’re launching this tech in India earlier than they anticipated. The HP range of printers which are to be launched in India are the HP Multijet Fusion 3D. These series of 3D Printers have already been launched and being sold in Australia, China and Japan. The starting price is $100,000 (approximately ₹60,00,000) in these countries. At present, the actual price in India is unknown as HP declined to discuss it.

So, are you excited about the high quality 3D Printers by HP? What do you think would be a great use for them? Let us know in the comments below. Do subscribe to our blog for more such articles and tech news!
